ABOUT BLACKSTONES JFC

In 2001 Justin Osborne started to train boys aged between 5 and 10 years of
age on a Saturday morning. Justin arranged for a Blackstones team aged 9 to compete on a Saturday afternoon against a number of other local teams and by the end of 2004 we had a squad of 8 boys aged 9 who were ready to take part in the Peterborough Junior Alliance.

Andrew Cummings who had been helping Ozzie decided to take on the role of manager and on
September 3 2004 Blackstones under 1O's played their first competitive game. We had a great first season and ended up as runners up.

At the end of the 2005 season it was decided that it was time to expand and Andrew became chairman of Blackstones Juniors and passed on the manager's role of the current side to Andy
Coulson. By the start of the 2006/2007 season Blackstones had four teams entered in the junior alliance.

Blackstones Juniors now has 15 teams in its stable with more than 170 youngsters registered to play for the Stamford club.

Current chairman Neil Stevenson took over the reins at the start of the 2018/19 season and the club has continued to go from strength-to-strength.
